Challenge: For Elhae’s latest EP release Aura III, Siwoo (Director) wanted to execute a one-shot-take concept for Elhae’s song, Fun Fact (Ballad Version). I was brought on as the Producer to execute this project, assemble a team, coordinate production logistics, find a suitable location, call sheet and schedule. The overall look and feel we wanted to create was a vibey, cozy night in. This was a unique and complex shoot as each part of the house required specific set decoration, lighting design, and a specific path was created to tell the story. Their was limited time in Elhae’s schedule, planning and execution for this shoot had to move quickly. I’m pleased with how efficiently we were able to bring everything together for this piece.

Outcome: This one shot take was a complex dance between the artist and the camera. To achieve the overall look, we filmed at a high frame rate and Elhae sang in double time. This technique allowed us to have the video play in slow motion and sync his lyrics. This was an incredible experience that brought together a killer team and I love how the video turned out. The debut and overall run of the project reached 250k views on youtube, over 1.5 million streams on Spotify and served in highlighting the original version of Fun Fact featuring Rick Ross which has reached over 2.5 million streams on Spotify.
